Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-19. This policy explains what The Brightons (The Brightons, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have.
Who this site is for
The Brightons is a parent-facing brand. Our website and emails are intended for adults — parents, grandparents, and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not direct marketing to children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at hello@thebrightons.com and we will delete it.
What we collect
- The information you give us when you join our list — your email address (and a first name if you provide one).
- Your marketing permission — whether you ticked the box consenting to receive our emails, with the date and the page you signed up from.
- Basic campaign context — referral and UTM parameters (e.g. which link brought you here), so we understand which efforts work.
- Cookies and usage data — we use cookies and similar technologies to see how the site is used (such as page views, country, and device type) and to understand what you’re interested in, so we can give you a more personal, relevant experience and show you the offers most likely to fit your family. As below, we never sell or lease your personal information.
How we use it
- To send you the updates you asked for — new-book launches, news, and member offers such as free gifts, downloads, or promotions.
- To deliver any welcome gift or offer we promised when you confirmed your subscription.
- To understand how the site is performing, and to personalize what we show and send you, so it stays relevant.
We rely on your consent to email you. We use double opt-in: after you sign up, we email you to confirm, and only send marketing once you confirm.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the brand, under their data-protection terms:
- Klaviyo — our email and marketing platform, which stores your contact details and sends our emails.
- Our website host, analytics, and advertising providers — to serve the site, measure usage, and show you relevant offers.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email — that stops all marketing immediately.
- You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and through our cookie controls where we show them.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information by emailing hello@thebrightons.com.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor them.
Retention
We keep your contact details for as long as you remain subscribed, and for a reasonable period afterward to honor your preferences and meet our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
